Comparing renewable energy policies in Europe

The REMIX project studies how EU and national decisions shape the renewable energy policy mix in six European countries.

  • The project studies the factors that shape the European renewable policy mix.
  • It compares national policies in six countries - France, Germany, Norway, Poland, Sweden and the UK.
  • Finally, the researchers will forecast future developments in renewable energy policy in Europe and develop scenarios and guidelines for Nordic energy actors.

The project is a cooperation between CICERO and the University of Oslo's Department of political Science and includes researchers from the University's Faculty of Law, Freie Universität Berlin, Fridtjof Nansen Institute, THEMA consulting, the University of Stockholm and Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

The project is funded by the Norwegian Research Council and a group of Nordic energy actors including Energi Norge, Energimyndigheten, NVE, Statkraft and Statnett.
